| 1. a) Play 12 games b) you will be considered a home team in half of your games. At that time you will be responsible for the fee of lining the field and the fee of $10.00, which is a total of $60.00 for all your games, combined. 2. Full pay for 1 game is to be given to umpires for forfeited games (before you play your next game). 3. Playing time:Weekday games = 1 hour 45 minutes or 7 innings ($27.00) 4. Eight (8) run mercy rule. Losing team must bat 4 innings. 5. a) High School rules. Also, courtesy runner for pitcher and catcher-runner must not be in the line up at that time. Exchange must be made immediately after the ball is dead. b) A team can choose to bat and play everyone on the roster but the offensive batting order must stay intact. A penalty will occur if you bat everyone and a player is injured. The injured batter will ba an automatic out. 6. Tied game - one (1) extra inning played (if time is not expired, then you may continue the same procedure). 7. A pitcher can pitch no more than 7 innings against the same opponent, unless those teams meet more than twice. 8. Baseballs: 3 new baseballs to start your home game, you are responsible for any extra balls needed (must be new equivalent). 9. CAYSA will be responsible for scheduling the umpire and the line of field when games are played at the John Smoltz Field. If games are played elsewhere, it is the site's responsibility to obtain an umpire and line the field. 10. Inning starts immediately after third out is made for the previous inning. 11. You must pay 1/3 of your fee for umpires who stay past game time during rainouts. 12. Visiting team will be home team for the second game, no matter where you are playing. 13. At the John Smoltz Field and Optimist Baseball Complex, concession stands will be available to help the organization financially. No outside food or drinks allowed.Please patronize our concession stands. Thank you for your support |
